Was there last year. Will never be back. It felt like a military boot camp with all the rules and yelling staff. We were 2 adults just there to spend the night quietly and they made us feel like problem teens. To frost the cake the rooster will have you awake at the break of dawn. I realize now that petting zoo is there for a reason.

I had been there a few times 20+ years ago, and again this past week, July 11th and 12th. The sea caves known as 'the ovens' are as beautiful as ever, and the colors of the living rock come alive if the lighting is just right. The rocks of the reef are worn so smooth in places, yet jagged in others, it makes for great photography studies as you walk there. The museum has some nice pieces on display. We did not get time to try panning for gold, tho there seems to be lots of people trying their luck. We encountered none of the rudeness mentioned by others. In fact, the staff we dealt with were quite friendly. Even the petting zoo was fun. The only points I might make are they have a rule about burning their firewood exclusively on site. This wood is quite expensive at six dollars a bundle, when houses on the way there have offerings for $3 a bundle, and I found some of the stuff quite green and didn't throw much heat or give much light. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable stay with quiet neighbors and nice clean lots all around. Do book ahead, as it can save you the drive there, which is a bit off the beaten track, only to find out they are full up. If you go, be sure to check out nearby Hirtle's Beach and Gaff Point, if you enjoy an invigorating hike. Keep an eye out for cyclists on the road.

I went here today for the first time with my family and had an amazing time. I myself am scared of heights so I was quite nervous going, however once I got there I was excited. The trail is amazing and beautiful. The staff was very nice even though they where very busy. We will certainly be back

One of the best places to visit if you are visiting Lunenburg area.I do not know how many times i went there ,its one of my favorite places .There is an admission fee to visit this park. Its a privately owned one. This place offers camping too. This place is clean and well maintained. There are spectacular views. The trail is short even-though it has nice views.
